Step 1.- Registration for the entrance exam

From February 1 to May 20, 2022

The applicant must register between February 1 and May 20 of this year on the University page ( start registration ) and attach the following documentation in digital format ( PDF or .JPG ):

1) Proof of deposit of the right to the admission exam for $670.00 ( ARE: SIX HUNDRED AND SEVENTY PESOS 00/100 MN ), to account No. 0108286833 of BBVA Bancomer, in the name of the Polytechnic University of Yucatan ( verify that the size of the document does not exceed 1MB ).

2) Certificate of completed high school studies , or proof of high school studies with a photograph, signed and stamped, specifying the period being studied and the general average. In both cases, you must have Minimum general average of seven (7.0) or seventy (70) depending on the scale used by the institution ( verify that the size of the document does not exceed 1MB ).

3) Photography . It must meet the following requirements:

- Color with white background, matte finish;

- Recent, only face-on ( no selfies ), bare head, clear forehead, hair tied back, no accessories ( glasses, earrings, necklaces, piercings, caps, hats, etc. );

- Shirt or blouse with sleeves;

- Adequate lighting and sharpness that allow the face to be clearly identifiable;

- JPEG format ( jpg or jpeg extension );

- Dimensions of 480 x 640 pixels;

- Maximum size of 200 kb;

The applicant will be able to access their registration, as many times as required, to complete and/or check their status with their username and password generated at the beginning. The last day to upload and/or update your documents is May 20, 2022 .

 

Note: The applicant  complete step 1  of this process, you will receive in a maximum of 3 working days the validation of documents via email, likewise the process for the issuance of the official receipt will be personally agreed, which must be presented in physical form on the day of the presentation of the examination of entry.

In the event that any document of those established in step 1 is missing, on the closing date of the system (May 20, 2022), the registration will be canceled without reimbursement of the corresponding fee . Said registration will not be considered to continue with the process.

Step 2.- Filling out the socioeconomic questionnaire

May 23 to 27, 2022

The applicant, who has completed Step 1 , must enter the registration system with his username and password in the period from May 23 to 27, to proceed to fill out the socioeconomic questionnaire. At the end of this step, the system will generate the following two documents:

  1. Registration Sheet

  2. Access pass to the entrance exam

 

Both documents must be presented printed and signed by the supporting person on the day of the entrance exam.

 Note: The applicant who requires support to fill out the socioeconomic questionnaire online, by appointment, may go to the UPY on May 26 or 27 of the current year.

Step 3.- Presentation of the entrance exam

Venue: Polytechnic University of Yucatan ( location )

Modality: On site, at campus

  • Friday June 10, 2022:

  • Saturday June 11, 2022:

Computer Embedded Systems Engineering (Morning)

Cybersecurity Engineering (Evening)

  • Sunday June 12, 2022:

Computational Robotics Engineering.

 The supporting person must present himself to the application headquarters with the following:

  1. Registration form ( generated by the system )

  2. Receipt of payment of the right to the admission exam ( obtained at the end of step 1 ).

  3. Go to the entrance exam ( generated by the system ).

  4. Original of the official identification with photograph: IFE/INE credential, National Military Service Card, Passport or credential of the school of origin with photograph.

  5. Number 2 or 2½ pencil, white eraser and sharpener.

  6. Simple calculator ( not programmable ).

Step 4.- Publication of Results

June 16, 2022

The list of admitted applicants will be announced on June 16 of the current year, on the University's website.

Note: The individual report of results will be delivered to the University to the supporting person on the days scheduled for registration, whether or not they have been admitted and in person.

​​Step 5.- Enrollment

June 17, 20 and 21

Admitted persons may enroll, in person , on June 17, 20 or 21 of the current year, at the facilities of the Polytechnic University of Yucatan from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  

They must present the following documentation in original and 2 copies :

  1. Full high school certificate with a minimum general average of 7.0 and with legalization of signatures ( see information here ). In the event that the baccalaureate studies certificate is in process, the person admitted may present an updated certificate issued by the institution of origin in which it is established that they have accredited all their subjects, as well as the list of qualifications. Likewise, they will sign a commitment letter in which they are obliged to deliver it within a period not exceeding sixty calendar days ( download commitment letter format ).

  2. Proof of deposit of annual registration fee ($480.00) and first monthly payment ($480.00), for a total of $960.00 (NINE HUNDRED AND SIXTY PESOS 00/100 MN) to BBVA Bancomer account No.0108286833, in the name of the Polytechnic University of Yucatan.

  3. Deposit receipt for the Institutional Credentialing process, single payment of $100.00 (ONE HUNDRED PESOS 00/100 MN) to BBVA Bancomer account No.0108286833, in the name of the Polytechnic University of Yucatan.

  4. Birth certificate .

  5. CURP ( download )

  6. Registration form ( generated by the system)

  7. Copy of official identification ( INE/IFE, Passport, Military Service Card ).

  8. Social Security Number Assignment Form ( download)

  9. Optional insurance validity format ( download)

  10. Signed Code of Ethics Format ( download)

  11. Letter of authorization for use of personal image ( download)

 

Note: In the event that any of the documents established in this section is missing, the admitted person will have a period of sixty calendar days to deliver them, otherwise the registration will be canceled without reimbursement of the corresponding fee .

Step 6.-English Language Placement Test

Date: Saturdays June 25, July 2 and 9  

All registered persons must take the English language placement exam on the dates established by the University Language Coordination.

Note: Enrolled people will be sent via e-mail confirmation of the day they are due to take the exam according to their last names and the Educational Program they signed up for.

 

 

Step 7.- Leveling course

Date: From August 8 to 26, 2022

Enrolled persons who have obtained unsatisfactory performance level (I) in the Specialized Knowledge exam , specifically in the disciplinary areas of Advanced Mathematics and/or Physics, must take the regularization course on the dates indicated, this course DOES NOT will cost.

 

 

Step 8.- Start of the school year
